In this story “Borders”, is about how a family that is from the Blackfoot's which is a type of natives from Canada. Well this family is trying to cross the Canadian border to go visit a relative in the U.S. but while they are at the border the police comes to ask them questions. One of their questions was to identify them self’s as Canadians, or as Americans. Because that family was proud of where they come from they would say they where "Blackfoot" which really means that they were Canadian. The police wouldn’t take that as a answer and they didn’t let them pass. I guess the point ogf the story and what it tells us is that even though you’re from the same place, people could identify them self’s differently because of their culture and background.
My nationality and my ethnicity are both very important, but for me the most important thing is my ethnicity. I think my ethnicity is more important because that’s where all my teachings come from. Since my parents are Mexican I learn a lot of how their culture is, their morals and what’s more important to them as Mexicans, and how to be proud of where you come from and not denying who you are. With a Mexican ethnicity shows where I came from “my roots”, and indentify myself more as a Mexican because of all the things I have been thought as my culture, teachings and for all that good food. Even though my nationality is American because I was born here my Mexican ethnicity is more important to me.

I like what you said. I think it is very true and i can agree with you on your ethnicity part. Overal good job.
I strongly agree with you in the ethnicity part and I also think that my ethnicity is more important. I also am very proud to call myself a Mexican even though I was born here in the United States, but I am happy to be an American because it makes it a lot easier. Not like others that can't do as much as we can, just because they are imagrants.
yea, i think is all true. Everyone should be proud to be who they are no matter the color or race. You have alot of inside knowledege.
i completely agree with everything that you said. My ethnicity is more important to me as well.
I agree with you, ethnicity is more important to me, and never deny who or what you are.
